What I Wore – Monochrome in summer
One trend that works all year round is monochrome. I love it. I think it’s sharp, sophisticated and a look that anybody can wear.
You don’t have to don black and white head-to-toe, subtle flecks of white throughout the outfit can be just as effective.
I bought this striped skirt in Zara (you might still find it in the sale) and worked the rest of the outfit around it. You can get a similar skirt here.
Another item I bought only recently was this black faux suede jacket (see here). To me this was a great buy as it can be worn all year round and styled a hundred different ways. It’s a very flattering fit being slightly cropped. The silver button and zip detailing is really eye catching making it look much more than its €80 price tag.
The black top is the same as I wore to my recent Fashion Factory – see that post here.
Basic tops like this are a must in everyone’s wardrobe. I have this in white also.
I’m getting good wear out of my Miss KG shoes from Opsh.com too, I loved these with this outfit.
For accessories less is definitely more with this outfit, I’m wearing my silver circle chain by Chupi. My sister got me this for Christmas and I love it. It comes in gold too.
On my nails here is a Gelish colour that I really love. It’s called ‘Need A Tan’ – the perfect shade to compliment any outfit.
I hope you like the look…
