Wedding Memories!

We got married on June 18th 3 years ago in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow.

Looking back on the photos this morning made me a little sentimental so I thought I’d share a few of my favourite pics.. Well there was way too many of my favourites so I’ve only chosen a few. I had forgotten about a few of them so it’s nice to look back on your anniversary and reminisce.

I absolutely loved our wedding day. You know when people say “Enjoy it, it goes so quickly” I really did enjoy it. I remember feeling very relaxed, calm and content.

My take on it is.. You are planning and looking forward to this big day from the moment you get engaged (or even before you’re engaged;-) )
You’ve put so much time and effort into making it perfect. Everybody is there because you love them and they love you. So what’s the point in getting hassled or fussed.
If something isn’t how you planned it nobody else will know, only you!
So live in the moment and take in every second!

I remember walking into our small country church and feeling really overwhelmed. I could feel the tears in my eyes. I really didn’t want to cry, when I start I literally can not stop!!

My hairdresser and very good friend Michael Doyle just looked at me and gave me a wink as if to say pull yourself together now! I took a deep breath and then I was totally fine.

I felt like I was walking on air. I loved every minuet of it.

People also say “it’s the best day of your life” It was at the time , but without sounding ridiculously corny it was really only the beginning of the best days to come.

I loved being a bride but I’m also loving being a wife and mum.. To me that’s been the best!

So if you’re a bride to be embrace it all! And if you’re a newlywed and a little down that your special day has come and gone, don’t worry , you’ve lots of special occasions to come !
