My Travel Essentials

Good morning again!
When I was packing a little bag the other day to go to London I put up a quick snap while I was doing it.
I’m glad I’m not the only curious (ok, nosey!) one when it comes to what everyone else is using. If anyone is doing their make up beside me I want to know what everything is and what it does!! I had so many questions asking what scent was the perfume, what numbers were the lipsticks.. Etc.
So, I thought I’d do a simple post on a few essential products I pack to bring away with me.
Aussie Miracle dry shampoo- this is a fantastic dry shampoo for adding volume. I love using this when I want to tie is up. Yesterday I needed to wash it coming home but I was far too lazy so this did the trick!
Along with some Elnett hairspray- if it’s good enough for Cheryl !! (Boots)
Optrex- I don’t go anywhere without eye drops, I need all the help I can get to have clear eyes that are in fact usually red and stinging from tiredness! (Boots)
Jo Malone- I’m usually a firm coco Chanel girl (I still adore it) but when I got a gift of this from my lovely hubby recently I haven’t stopped using it since. I use Pomegranate Noir. I absolutely love it. The scent lasts all day and people always ask me what it is. I burn the candle in the same scent and the smell it fills our house with is so amazing. They aren’t the cheapest in the world but you’re paying for quality when it comes to Jo Malone. If you’re looking to treat yourself or someone else I’d highly recommend these. (Brown Thomas)
Foundations- I brought two away with me. L’Oreal True Match, I really like this for day time as the one I have is a lighter shade perfect for me during the day (see my review on that here) I brought Maybelline FIT me also, shade 220. This is slightly heavier when it comes to coverage; it’s dewy and blendable. My shade is dark and good for me when I’m wearing tan. I just mixed a little of both for nighttime. (Boots)
Redken Shampoos- I ended up not using these as I was too lazy to wash my hair like I said, but I always use these travel sized friendly ones when I’m away. I quite like the Redken extreme range too. (Boots)
Moisturiser & Cleanser – Fab First Aid Beauty. I’ve been using this range for a little while now, mainly for travel, as the sizes are perfect.
The Face Cleanser removes every bit of grime, make up, and even eye make up. It’s perfect for sensitive skin; it’s fragrance free and extremely gentle on the skin.
The Ultra Repair Cream is super; I love this because you can use it everywhere as a moisturiser. Again it’s fragrance free, it’s very hydrating, which is what you need when traveling especially. If you have dry/sensitive skin in general you’ll love this. (www.cloud10beauty.com)
Lip balm- Nuxe Reve de miel. I don’t go anywhere without this lip balm in my bag. It is definitely the best one I’ve ever used. It will condition and soften the driest lips. No chapped lips here!! π It’s a winter must. (www.cloud10beauty.com)
Inglot face wipes – These are so convenient for travelling especially or just for a quick all over make up removal. The Inglot Milk & Tonic ones are excellent, they’re gentle and don’t irritate my skin like other wipes have done in the past. (inglot.ie)
NYX lipsticks & liner- I brought 2 with me – a natural nude shade and a red for nighttime. The nude one is lovely as itβs a browny warm nude. It’s matte too which I quite like for the winter. (Called Euro Trash) the liner is (natural)
The red is a beautiful deep colour with a lovely high shine. It was my first time to wear this one. I really liked it. Last week I wore a matte red; some people said they found a matte red hard to wear so this is a good alternative if you’d rather a nice sheen (Electra)
So! Tell me your travel essentials… I love to hear it all π
Much love,
Px
