Think Pink This Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hi ladies,

As most of you already know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Promoting awareness of this is extremely important to all women and is something that’s close to all of our hearts.

Incidence of breast cancer has risen by 33% in ten years and every day, in Ireland, 7 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. While survival rates are certainly improving, there’s still a lot more to be achieved.

It’s so very important that we check our breasts regularly and discuss any changes with your GP without delay. Also did you know men can get breast cancer too? 1% of breast cancer cases are male.

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, some of my favourite fashion, beauty & lifestyle brands are donating a percentage of their proceeds to various breast cancer charities to aid research and development.

So this month ‘Think Pink’ and make sure to support this worthy cause. We’ve put together some ways you can donate below. Let’s fight breast cancer together!

Centra activities happening this October 2016 include:

On October 15th Centra stores across Ireland will hold fundraising walks to benefit Irish Cancer Society’s Action Breast Cancer Campaign. Join them at centra.ie/walk to see if your nearest store is taking part and register with them to participate if you can!
Centra will be selling fab pink and black BPA free water bottles which you can pick up at your local store for €5, with net proceeds to benefit the Irish Cancer Society.
On October 15th you will be able to make an in store electronic donation at the till in all Centra stores.
