Tanning for holidays

I’m headed for the sun as we speak! I’m off to Mykonos. I adore Greece, I was there about 5 years ago, it’s such a beautiful place. So I’m really excited to go back, I remember the food being amazing, especially the Greek salad! Feta cheese.. Yum!

Anyway! I’m going for 4 nights and as I’ve said before I’m not exactly a sun worshipper – I don’t like lying out baking in it all day, plus my freckly skin couldn’t take it!

So I opted to do some self-tanning yesterday in preparation. I don’t know about you but I feel so much better in my bikini (I should say 1-pieces as I’ve brought a few of those) when I have a bit of a glow.

Here’s what I opted for…

I love mousse when it comes to tans. I find them easiest and quickest to apply, especially as they go on brown so you can see exactly how much you’re applying and where. I gave myself one good layer of this all over which will last me.

Of course swimming and tanning oils will fade your tan slightly but it’ll definitely last me while I’m away. This particular one claims it lasts 2-3 weeks – I don’t think it lasts that long but it certainly lasts longer than regular false tan.

You could use it on your face – I would mix it with moisturiser as it can be drying.

This time I’ve used a new tanning product specifically for your face and I love it.

It’s really moisturising and hydrating – my skin felt really soft the following morning! It has a gradual tanner built in so I was nicely bronzed too without having dry/tight skin that some tans cause.

For nighttime, I’ve brought along my all time favourite cult tanning product! Charlotte Tilbury slimmer shimmer supermodel legs (buy here)! The name says it all! Its high price point is worth every cent. I’m still on my first tube and I’ve been using it for months. It’s thee best leg shimmer I’ve ever used. It’s a tinted cream with the perfect amount of shimmer going through it – it’s not over sparkly, which I like. It has the ability to elongate and slim the look of your legs! It really does. I use it on my arms and collarbone too if I’m wearing a strapless top or dress.
