Saturday’s Little Beauty: L’Oréal True Match Foundation
A couple of weeks ago I was getting my make up done for a shoot by Kate Mc Cormack. FYI Kate is an amazing make up artist, I came across her through Instagram during the summer and I’ve loved her since.
I was asking my usual 20 questions – I get my make up knowledge from all my professional friends 😉
I asked Kate what foundation should I try next, she straight away said L’Oréal True Match. I love trying new foundations, I have about 10 on the go. I had heard about this one but hadn’t purchased it yet.
Off I went to Boots. I went for shade ‘Rose Vanille’ it was €14.99. Great value and worth a shot I thought!
With high expectations the next morning I applied my new foundation (don’t you just love the feeling of a fresh new bottle? Or is that just me!!?)
My first impression was wow this is gliding on so smoothly and it’s so silky!
I applied a light layer at first. I was happy with how that looked for daytime. Then I went over it a little more, it blended into my skin perfectly, and it’s easily built to give a full coverage, which is great for nighttime or if you just like a good coverage in general.
It’s definitely the silkiest lightest feeling foundation I’ve ever used. It has great staying power too. I didn’t feel like I needed to top it up during the day. I’ve been using Maybelline Super Stay 24H powder over it- I really like that too. As always I use my Blank Canvas F20 flat buffer brush to apply the foundation (see a recent make up brush post here)
I’ve been using it ever since and I’m really so impressed. I think I’d go so far as to say I like it as much as one of my favourites, Armani luminous silk.
I am going to buy a slightly darker shade for nighttime though or for when I’m quite tanned.
So I’m dying to hear if you’re loving this too? Let me know below or on Facebook.
