Pippa’s Picks! Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip

main image

Hi girls,

I’m teaming up with Rimmel to chat to you about their new Stay Matte Liquid Lip range. Having tried most liquid lippies on the market, I was intrigued to give Rimmel’s take on this beauty IT-product a go.

Something, which I’ve found with some other matte liquid lip products in the past, is that they can quickly start to feel uncomfortable on the lips, drying them out, leaving them flaky and not so pretty. The patchy lip look is a major beauty faux pas. Who agrees?!

For me, the perfect liquid lipstick needs to be long-lasting, moisturising and of course, highly pigmented. And after trying these lipsticks over the past few weeks, I can now honestly say Rimmel’s Stay Matte Liquid Lips tick all of the above boxes for me. Its staying power is seriously impressive. When I say this does not budge, I really mean it. Once this dries on your lips after application, there is no transfer whatsoever.

If you saw my InstaStory last week (you can follow me here), you would have seen I wore the nude shade ‘Be My Baby’ for a fun day out with Ollie – we went for lunch and then to the cinema. I applied this in the morning and it lasted all day through eating pizza, drinking from my bottle of water and kissing my kids – and that is without topping it up. It claims to be waterproof, kiss-proof and touch-proof – I definitely agree.

The nude shade ‘Be My Baby’ that I’m wearing in the picture above is probably my favourite out of the range (nude lippies are my go-to). It is just the perfect daytime shade and I think it would go with most skin tones. I’m really looking forward to wearing the red shade ‘Firestarter’ on my next night out. And the best part is I’ll know it won’t budge! The shade ‘Plum This Show’ will be stunning for autumn/winter time – you can see it it from my swatches in the image below.

I think it’s safe to say I have finally gotten my hands on a liquid lipstick that actually lasts, looks good and doesn’t break the bank!

The Stay Matte Liquid Lip range retails at €7.95 and is available in pharmacies and grocery stores nationwide. Have you tried Rimmel’s Stay Matte Liquid Lip yet? What do you think of them?

Let me know in the comments below. 🙂
