My Skin Care Routine (Morning)

Hello All!
It’s been far too long since I did an updated skin care routine so here goes!
If you’ve been to Pippa’s Fashion Factory you’ll know how important a good skin care routine is to me. Once you commit to making a little more effort and spending a few more minutes your skin will thank you for it in the long run.
Don’t get me wrong, I still reach for the face wipes for convenience on evenings I’m utterly exhausted or if I’ve been out late and had a few drinks (which is rare these days! Hello motherhood!)
Starting with my morning routine. Here’s what I use pretty much everyday. I do alternate between a few products, but these are firm favourites.
*Cleansing*
Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm.
Buy here.
Since I’ve started using a cleansing balm my skin has never felt cleaner.
Before this I would use a cleansing lotion and cotton pads to remove any grime or make up.
That worked fine but the difference with using a balm and a cloth is remarkable.
I simply smooth over my face and neck. I then wipe away with a warm cleansing cloth/or face cloth.
The Elemis balm contains elderberry and optimega oils, combined with Rose and mimosa waxes. It smells good enough to eat. The smell alone instantly relaxes me. I immediately noticed my complexion glowing.
I received this in an Elemis hamper for my last birthday. Unfortunately it’s expensive.. €60!! But! I promise you it’s worth it. I’m still on my first tub nearly a year later.
Elemis is available in Harvey Nichols and selected spas/salons nationwide.
*Exfoliating*
Every couple of mornings I use my Clarisonic Mia 2. (Available in department stores nationwide. You can buy online here). This is a face cleansing brush. It’s water proof and can be used in she shower which is very handy. It’s gentle enough to be used every day if you like. This is a super tool to have to really give your face a good exfoliation. I tend to use my First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser with it. This cleanser is ideal for sensitive skin as its fragrance free and very gentle. This airy cream effectively takes everything away. You could of course use this instead of the cleansing balm.

*Toner*
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads

These disposal pads are my absolute must have in my routine for morning and night! They tone and brighten the skin without making my face feel tight like most toners. Available on cloud10beauty.com.
*Moisturiser*
For summer time face protection I’m using Nuxe Sun Cream for Face SPF 50.
This can be worn under your normal make up as usual if you like.
When I don’t need SPF protection I’ve been using First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. This is intended for dry/parched skin which I wouldn’t say I have but I absolutely love this on my face. It’s so soft , hydrating and non greasy. It absorbs really quickly for a seamless foundation application too. It can be use head to toe too! This is also available for cloud10beauty.com.
*Eye cream*
One of my favourite eye creams – Image the Max.
I use this every morning after my moisturiser. I never bring my moisturiser up to my eyes. Using my ring fingers I gently pat my eye cream all around my eye area. It reduces fine lines, wrinkles and puffiness. It prevents cell ageing with grape, alpine edelweiss and argan stem cells. You can get Image products in Renaissance Skin Clinic, Howth.
*Hydrating mist*
Some mornings (and throughout the day) I use this beautiful vitamin mist by First Aid Beauty also. It hydrates, revives and refreshers the skin. A lovely little product for your handbag especially in the summer. Buy it here.
As usual I’d love to hear what you think? Do you use any of my faves? What’s your routine?
During the week I’ll be showing you my night time routine and some favourite face masks too!
Much love
