January Favourites!

I always seem to go back to Aussie products. I often change and try more expensive brands but these really work well for me. I like the Volume shampoo and conditioner. It leaves my hair really clean and silky and it definitely gives good volume too. They smell amazing and they’re very affordable. Perfecto!

Carmex Cherry Lip Balm has definitely been a go-to item this month, preventing the dreaded chapped lips. Carmex, available at Boots, claims, “it soothes, it protects. It moisturises” and after trying and testing this product, it’s fair to say that’s accurate. The balm is of course cherry scented, which is lovely as it’s not too sickly sweet. It is definitely moisturising and it does make your lips tingle only very slightly straight after application but it doesn’t irritate.
It’s SPF 15 which I love, it’s really important to protect your skin all year round, not just in the summer. It’s the ideal little item to keep in your handbag.

Barry M is a brand that’s cheap and cheerful but can be of very good quality. Its range of nail paints is what they’re most popular for and it’s clear why. A new colour called ‘Berry Cosmo’ was added to the original line of their polishes back in October and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a gorgeous deep plum shade making it perfect for the winter months and believe it or not doesn’t stain your nails! 2 coats of this and it’d look great but with a few slicks of a topcoat, it’s almost salon quality. At €5.99 a polish, can you go wrong? I don’t think so!

Brush On Radiance, from The Body Shop.
These beautiful little pearls
enhance your complexion and add a touch of illumination to your face with light-reflective, iridescent pearls of colour.
Using a big blusher brush I sweep a touch of colour across my cheeks or if you fancy it apply to your décolletage! Oh La La 😉
Apart from it being a lovely product it looks very pretty in its packaging too! Costing €20.95, I think you ladies will like this one too.

A few weeks ago I was going away for the night and stupidly forgot my foundation. As I could sell you foundations I didn’t want to spend money on buying my usual favourites, Mac mineralize, Armani or Benefits Hello flawless.

As a big fan of Rimmel , I always buy their lipsticks and nail varnishes.. I decided to try their Wake me up foundation. I went for ‘true ivory’ and that was a perfect shade for me. I know this has been on the market a while now but it was completely new to me. Honestly! I was so impressed by this foundation. The coverage is perfect, it’s easy to apply and i was so surprised how well it lasted, I didn’t touch it up all day. It has a tiny shimmer to it, giving it that dewy glow. So I reckon the name Wake me up is pretty appropriate as I did feel like it gave me a fresh appearance.
For what you get the price is unreal, €7.99 (in Boots) for a foundation that in my opinion could easily rival my usuals.

I hope you like our picks for this month.
