Give Up Clothes For Good with TK Maxx and Enable Ireland

I’m here to fill you in on the TK Maxx Give Up Clothes For Good Campaign in a little more detail.

2 weeks ago I launched the campaign with 7 year old Ava. Ava has Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy and is just one of many children who depend on Enable Ireland for much needed support including physiotherapy.

The Give Up Clothes For Good campaign is Ireland’s biggest and longest running clothes and homewares donation collection. Developed by TK Maxx, the Give Up Clothes For Good campaign helps raise much needed funds for Enable Ireland which offers support services for children and young people with disabilities and their families from 40 locations in 14 counties, covering all aspects of a child’s physical, educational, and social development from early infancy through adolescence. TK Maxx have made it so easy to support this great charity.

Here’s how I’m helping and how you can help too..

Most of us have clothes in our wardrobes that we will probably never wear again or are hanging onto for one reason or another. With all the Autumn Winter stock arriving in store, it’s great to have an opportunity like this to do a clear out and actually make a difference in the lives of children around Ireland. It’s so straightforward: do a clear out, fill up some bags and drop them into any TK Maxx store.

So I’m taking this opportunity to do a serious clear out, God knows my wardrobe needs it! Plus it’s all for an extremely worthy cause.

I’ve tackled my wardrobe and drawers over the weekend. I’ve been ruthless, but practical. My room actually feels so much better now. I think I slept better because of it last night too 😉

Customers can donate in store using any bag they like, from carrier bags to bin bags. TK Maxx can accept clean clothing, shoes and accessories, ornaments, towels and linen, crockery, cutlery and glassware, books, collectables and antiques, CDs, DVDs and mobile phones. All donated items will be sold in Enable Ireland shops and all money raised from the sale of these items will help to fund Enable Ireland services so your donation will help the lives of so many children in Ireland.
