February is the first month of spring where flowers decide to show their lovely faces again, bright clothes and shorter hems become slightly more acceptable and the weather gets that bit warmer (a questionable statement to make in Ireland, we know)! This month, we’ve discovered some gems of beauty products that have proven to work brilliantly and have therefore made it onto our ever-growing list of favourites.
Waxperts Ingrown Hair Pads
We are loving this product at the moment! Waxperts Ingrown Hair Pads are a must have in your body care routine, especially as we’re drawing closer to the summer months. 4o cotton pads infused with the goodness of rosemary, salicylic acid and panthenol come in this cute, retro designed pot. From using these thin cotton pads, we’ve seen that they actually do work wonders in getting rid of those unsightly lumps and bumps you get after waxing or shaving. It’s already been hailed as “The New Holy Grail Multi-tasker”, meaning it’s not just used to combat ingrown hairs. Believe it or not, it’s brilliant at helping to clear up breakouts and getting rid of those annoying bumps that most people get on their upper arms, keeping your skin ever so smooth. All you have to do is rub the pad over the area you want to treat everyday after showering. At only €7.99 a pot, we’d really recommend you pick one up for yourself! They’re available in over 300 salons nationwide and they’ll be launching in pharmacies very soon. Check out Waxpert Wax’s site: www.waxpertswax.com
‘The Kiss’ lipgloss has only been brought out recently by Lush for their Valentine’s Day collection. Lush is well-known for selling beauty and skincare products filled to the brim of natural, gorgeous-smelling goodness, so when we heard of their Valentine’s Day collection, don’t you know we had to take a peek. This lipgloss came up trumps. It’s our favourite, hands down – not only because of the quirky packaging but also because of the colour payoff and its impressive moisturising properties. It contains organic agave syrup mandarin and almond essential oils as well as a preservative free colour tint which gives off a lovely sheer pink tint. And that’s not all; it also contains guarana seed powder which has natural skin plumping properties. Sold yet?
The Michael Kors Beauty range is quite new to me. It’s exclusive to Arnotts so I’d definitely recommend checking some of the products out. This luxurious range has so much to offer to a makeup obsessed gal, including everything from lip lacquers, bronzers and perfumes. So far I just have this lipstick in nude called ‘Diva’, which I think would be flattering on most skin colours. It also has a high gloss finish to it so it gives off that gorgeous shine. The gold packaging of this lipstick is also a plus – it’s very Michael Kors!
Michael Kors ‘Glam Jasmine’ Perfume
This is also from Michael Kors Beauty available at Arnotts. It’s the perfect scent coming into spring as it’s so light and fresh. This scent lasts on the skin for so long, which I love and I find it also lingers. A few spritzes of this gorgeous perfume does the trick, without being too obnoxious. Definitely check Michael Kors’ perfumes out, I’m sure you’ll be as impressed as I am!
We think that this mascara is just brilliant. One or two brief coats, and you achieve defined, separated lashes. As its name suggests, a few coats of this along with some patience can give the effect you’re wearing falsies – but don’t worry; only the subtle, natural and sophisticated type! Its brush is quite bendy, which makes life so much easier when you want to coat the lashes on your inner and outer eye.
Hope you enjoyed this month’s favourites.
