Dressing Room Decor!
After an amazing 2 weeks off I’m home sweet home.
I loved being away but I like getting back to normality- there’s only so many pancakes, waffles and French toast one can indulge in!
I’m happy to get back to work too, it’s great to recharge the batteries as it really gives me a fire in my belly again. I’m full of ideas and excitement for the months ahead.
I’ve 5 fashion factories coming up that I’m looking forward to as well as a few really cool shoots and jobs that I’m excited for.
The highlight though will definitely be my collaboration with Blank Canvas that’ll be launching in July. I can’t wait for you all to see it, I’ve been using my sample since February now and when anybody has asked me questions as to what something I’ve used in a picture it’s killed me not to say what it is! So if you’ve asked me a question on what something is and I haven’t responded, I’m sorry, I’m not being rude but we wanted it to be a surprise.
On my travels home I got thinking about home decor and interiors (we moved house only a few weeks ago).
I’m thrilled I now have an empty bedroom that I’m going to dedicate to just a dressing room. Much to my husband’s delight too, our last bedroom wasn’t hugely spacious so I had my dressing table and mountains of products all over the place.

With that in mind I’ve been looking up lots of room decor ideas for myself that I thought you might like too. There are so many nifty ideas and clever things you can do to create a lovely space. Even if you haven’t lots of room you can still store things in a compact way. It needn’t cost a fortune either. Ikea have amazing furniture, storage, mirrors, lights and dressing tables. I got my one there last year. I love it, the main reason I got this one was because it was neat and fitted nicely against the wall.
I also use their flowerpots to hold my make brushes, they’re really cheap and they look great.
The RIBBA picture ledges are brilliant for displaying nail varnishes too. Some of you reminded me that you could use them to display kids books, which is a great idea also. You can get them here.
I loved an idea I saw on Lauren Conrad’s site, she suggested framing your favourite shopping bags and hanging them. I think this would look really fab if you had a space to display them on a wall, it would make a lovely feature.
ETSY is a brilliant site to buy some nice prints for your walls too, either fashion illustrations or some fun or inspirational quotes (who doesn’t love the positive quotes these days!)

Add a vase of pretty flowers to your dressing table to add some colour and elegance to your space.
There are so many cute little trinkets, ornaments and flowers to choose from to further decorate your vanity space. Here are some gorgeous pieces we found:
