Daytime Make Up Look

Hi there!
I haven’t done an up to date daytime make up post in ages.
So this morning while putting on my make up I thought “That’s what I’ll do today!”
I’ve been using a few new products too which I’m excited to share with you, especially the foundation and concealer.
In person I definitely look like I’ve more on than I do in these pictures.. But this is my usual every day look these days. I change up the lipstick or blush depending on what I’m wearing.
By now you’ll know I love quick make up application- I really don’t have time to spend ages at it so i love using products that are easy or multi functional.
*Stila Stay All Day Foundation. (Shade Buff) €31.76
I knew nothing about this foundation up until a month ago.
Since I tested it out I’ve been wearing it most days since. I absolutely love it.
It’s medium, buildable coverage with a matte finish.
It definitely helps to minimize my pores and evens skin tone.
What’s also brilliant about it is it has a concealer pot hidden inside the lid. I’d use this concealer more at nighttime as I find it to be heavy coverage. Perfect for covering blemishes too.
It’s oil free and fragrance free.
It stays all day long- hence the name!
*Naked Skin Concealer by Urban Decay. €20.61

I bought this in New York last month and I can’t tell you how good it is- Other then trust me you have to get it! It’s like silk on the skin, it’s so lightweight but with excellent coverage. It doesn’t look caked; it won’t dry out your skin or sit in any fine lines. It’s absolutely perfect!
Don’t worry you can now get it here too!
*Sleek Face Form contouring & blush palette (shade medium) €12.99

Sleek is a fabulous brand with excellent price points. This is lovely little palette covering all your contouring needs.
*Stila Convertible Color (shade Gladiola) €22.25

This is so lovely- I love cheek creams, I feel they make my skin look really fresh and glowy. I pop this on very lightly with my Blank Canvas F14 brush. The pictures aren’t doing this justice – the cheeks are really dewy in person. This is a lip cream too which I love to use.
*Rimmel Scandaleyes Xtreme mascara €8.99
Buy here
I have dozens of mascaras on the go all the time. Recently I got sent this new one from Rimmel. It’s very impressive. As you can see from the pics my lashes look quite long after applying 2 layers of this. Mascaras really shouldn’t be kept for longer than 12 weeks. Throw any old ones out- you can’t beat a fresh new one anyway! (I don’t have eyelash extensions just to answer some of you)
*NYX Wonder Pencil. (Shade medium) €5.99
Buy here
This is the magic little pencil that everyone seems to want. They’re back in stock now after being sold out everywhere. I saw these in Haven pharmacy last week in Dundrum FYI.
Today I’ve used the pencil on my waterline.
It’s designed to be used as a concealer, eye brightener, or lip liner- to prevent lipstick bleeding.
*MAC liner (shade ‘Subculture’)
Buy here
This is the type of lip liner that goes with everything – A great one to have in your make up bag.
*MAC ‘Toledo lipglass’ (shade ‘Oxblood)

I got this gloss in Mac New York too – I’m not too sure if this collaboration it’s sold here too? I meant to check during the week but didn’t have time. Maybe someone in the know can fill us in?
I really like this shade, i have lots of nude and pinky shades so this browny tone is a little different. It’s fabulous for day or night wear. It’s so shiny and has brilliant staying power like all Mac glosses.
*Eyedew Eye Drops by Optrex €5.09

I bought these magic drops in Boots, now I don’t leave home without them. They instantly brighten and add a sparkle to your eyes.
*Charlotte Tilbury Brow Lift.

This is a beautiful eyebrow tool. Again it’s multi functional – one end you shade, the other you shape with the built in brush. It even has a little highlighter shade for under the brows. As we all know by now Ms. Tilbury doesn’t do cheap products, so this isn’t exactly a bargain but it certainly is fabulous like all of the range. I like this, as the effect is so natural – nothing looks drawn on. I personally like this especially for daytime; it looks like you’ve nothing on them. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative I recommend the Maybelline Brow Satin. See my post on that here
* Anastasia Beverly Hills – Brow Duality. €21

I got this in Sephora New York and oh my god I adore this. (I’m very passionate today I know!!)
This is like no other highlighting pencil I’ve used. One end is a matte highlighter, that’s what I use mainly. It lifts the brows but what I love most is it really defines your brows; they look like they’re perfectly waxed. On the other end is the same thing really except it’s a little shimmery, I’d opt for this side at nighttime. I would have bought another one but there were no more. Luckily for me I’m back in New York next week- it’ll be on my to buy list.
*MAC mid tone sepia

My pal Kim told me to buy this. As far as I know it’s been around years but only available in the pro stores.
It’s a cream colour base and it can be used for contouring but I’ve been using it on my eyes. I love how quick and easy it is- I pop it on with my baby finger and I’m done. It’s fab for nighttime too to build a smokey eye with. A dash of black liner with this is lovely.
I hope you like the look and have picked out a few products you’d like to try too?
I’m thinking of doing a skin care routine soon if you’d be interested in that? Let me know on Facebook.
Much love
