Christmas Party Make Up feat. Bourjois, Max Factor & Rimmel

Hi all,
If you’re in search of some Christmas party make up inspiration, you’ll hopefully like today’s post. I’ve teamed up with Rimmel, Bourjois and Max Factor to create a full Christmas party glam look using some of my favourite products.
BASE:
For the perfect canvas, a primer is key. Max Factor Smooth Miracle Primer (€15.49) is brilliant for blurring visible pores and smoothing your skin.
I just apply this to my face with my fingers and gently rub it in in circular motions. I find the Smooth Miracle Primer makes foundation application so much easier and helps create a more flawless base. And of course, it ensures your foundation won’t budge all night, which is ideal too!
I then applied Bourjois’ Healthy Mix foundation (€12.95) with a flat buffer brush. I wear shade 54.
If you’ve been following me for a while now, you’d know I’m a huge fan of this foundation. It’s great for day-to-night wear as it’s super long lasting with light to medium coverage that is buildable.
And then for concealer, I applied the Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer (€9.95) in ‘Light’ under my eyes and over any redness and imperfections with a concealer brush. This works like a dream over the Healthy Mix foundation by the way, ladies! I’ve been using this concealer recently and I’m really liking it – it helps makes you look so much more fresh and awake – which I will take any day! 😉
To set my face, I gently dusted Max Factor’s Crème Puff powder (€9.99) in ‘Golden’ with a fluffy brush.
Not only does this help keep my make up crease-free and in place, it also makes my skin look pretty flawless. This is a really handy compact to pop into your bag when you head out for any touch-ups you may need.
BROWS & EYES:
Brows are the be-all and end-all, right? The Rimmel Brow This Way Sculpting Kit (€6.25) is a fab product to use especially if you want to create long-lasting, flawless brows that will look just as good from your first selfie of the night to when you’re heading home. This comes with a wax and powder. With the double-ended brush that comes in the kit, I applied the wax to my brows first to shape and fix the hairs in place. And then with the other side of the brush I applied the powder over it to set. I like to brush through my brows afterwards for a more natural look.
I went for a soft brown smokey eye, which is one of my fave eye looks. Max Factor’s Eyeshadow Palette (€13.99) in ‘Alluring Nude’ has 4 shades that all complement each other perfectly for a sultry smokey look. I swept the lightest shade across my lids, and then applied the darker shade to my crease and blended it back and forwards with my brush for definition. I layered the next dark shade over it for further definition as well as along my lower lash line.
It’s not often I use liquid liner but on nights out it’s my favourite for instantly amping up my make up look. The Bourjois Liner Feutre (€8.99) in Ultra Black is perfect if you’re looking for a liner that is easy to apply (seriously so easy!) and is long-lasting. I simply drew a thin line across my upper lash line to define my eyes even more. I find it’s easier if you look down into a mirror and slowly apply it across your lash line.
And for mascara, I applied two coats of Max Factor’s Lash Crown mascara. This has quickly become one of my favourite mascaras. It’s great for lengthening your lashes as well as adding some volume. I also applied it to my bottom lashes. Quick tip: avoid pumping the wand in and out of the mascara tube as it will cause the formula to dry up and clump really quickly.
CHEEKS & LIPS:
To add some warmth to my face, I lightly swept the bronzer from the Bourjois Delice de Poudre (€10.49) with a fluffy bronzer brush around my hairline and décolletage. I also applied it to the hollows of my cheeks to sculpt and contour my face. I like to focus on areas where you would be naturally sun-kissed for a natural effect.
For highlighter I dusted the highlighter from the same palette just above my cheekbones, along my nose and on my Cupid’s bow for a dewy glow.
I applied the Bourjois Little Round Pot blush (€7.95) in ‘Rose Ambre to the apples of my cheeks using the brush that comes in the compact. I just love this shade – it makes you look so fresh!
And now for lips… Using the Bourjois Contour Edition lip pencil (€6.99)in ‘Nude Wave’ I neatly outlined my lips. For a longer lasting hold, I also filled in my entire lip with the lip pencil. To ensure the lines were crisp and sharp, I then lightly applied the Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer around the corners of my top and bottom lips.
I then applied Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip (€7.95) in ‘Pink Blink’ to my lips, which I’ve been a fan of for a while now. Ladies, when I say this does not budge, I really mean it. This liquid lipstick just glides on to the lips. I applied one layer and that was perfect. The pigmentation is really good!
All of the products I used to create this look are now available in pharmacies and grocery stores nationwide.
Hope you like my look. Have you tried any of these products before?
