3 Beauty Dupes You Can’t Resist by Kim O’Sullivan

Who doesn’t love a good dupe?! We’re so excited to have the incredibly talented pro make up & brow artist Kim O’Sullivan back on pippa.ie with her 3^rd beauty dupes post to share even more of her favourite beauty products and their dupes.

#1. The 90’s-inspired nude lip

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in ‘Pillow Talk’ – €22

The name on the tip of everyone tongue at the moment is the sensational Charlotte Tilbury. This lady can do no wrong. In such a short period of time she has given birth to so many cult products and her Lip Cheat liner in ‘Pillow Talk’ (€22.00) is one of them. It’s the most perfect ‘natural’ lipliner and I’ve been wearing it non-stop.

Dupe: NYX Lipliner in ‘Peekaboo’ – €6

I’ve discovered the NYX Lipliner in Peekaboo Neutral (approx. €6.00) an it’s almost identical if you’re after a similar effect on a budget or you’re trying to achieve the nod to the 90s lip. NYX is such a beautiful budget-friendly brand.

#2. The Eye Brightening pencil

Charlotte Tilbury Rock n Kohl Eye Cheat – €25

Charlotte Tilbury’s Eye Cheat is a universal nude tone, which instantly creates the illusion of brighter, fuller and more awake eyes. When applied to the upper and lower waterline and inner tear ducts, your eyes will as if by magic appear bigger and brighter. It does however come at a price – €25.

Dupe: NYX Wonder Pencil – €5.75

Want dazzling wide-awake eyes on a budget (without that harsh white 80’s look)? Behold the NYX Wonder Pencil in Light. This is brilliant and is so versatile. The NYX pencil can also be used as a concealer or as a reverse lipliner to prevent lipstick bleeding.

#3. The Dolce K Kylie Lipkit

Unless you have $400 to spare, which is what the Dolce K lipkit is going for on eBay at this very moment in time, you may be happy to see the alternative I’ve found. I’ve discovered an almost identical dupe for the liner and liquid lipstick, which will make you flat out fabulous rather than flat out broke 😉

Liner Dupe: Make Up Forever Aqua liner in 5c Beige Brown – €16.50

Make Up For Ever’s Aqua lip liner in 5c is equally as gorgeous in every sense. The colour is quite possibly the closest match to the highly sought after Dolce K. The texture and the fact it’s waterproof ensures it’s as good if not better than Kylie’s in the staying power stakes.

Liquid Lipstick Dupe: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in ‘Abu Dhabi’ – €11

Dolce K is a light brownish pink shade with warm undertones and the NYX shade in ‘Abu Dhabi’ certainly matches that criteria. Like Kylie’s liquid lipstick, this glides on very creamy and dries to a matte finish so won’t budge. And for €11 can you go wrong?
