As much as our fave Nike and Converse trainers will always have a place in our hearts, we’ve seriously fallen for the shoe of the summer: lace-up flats. Also known as ‘Ghillie’ shoes (we’re not sure how to say it either!), these have been given the seal of approval by our fave fashionistas.

A much more smart and feminine style than the also popular slip on plimsolls, they are perfect for work or casual wear. There’s no denying that lace-up shoes are hot property right now. Whether paired with skinny jeans and a slouchy baseball tee or a fab summer dress, these shoes basically go with anything.
