TREND ALERT: How to nail Denim On Denim
Denim on denim is a trend that’s going nowhere for the foreseeable. I personally love it.
Fashion rules are meant to be broken, and lately that includes wearing denim on denim. Once a faux pas, now the look has been seen on Miranda Kerr and my favourite style queen Olivia!
It’s no wonder this look had a bad rep after Britney and Justin stepped out at the 2001 American Music Awards wearing matching head to toe light wash denim. That certainly was how NOT to wear denim, don’t worry though, I don’t think anyone could make that mistake again!
The secret is balance. A lightweight pale shirt looks great with dark denim jeans or skirt.
A common mistake is picking denim that’s all the same weight and wash, and accessorising with busy pieces.
Here’s 3 denim looks that we reckon are spot on..
