My favourite Foundation & Concealers

main image

Hi Ladies,

I’ve finally gotten around to doing this highly requested post on foundation and concealers.
So I gathered up what I think are among the best on the market at the moment. These are all what I would reach for most days. I have different shades in some, depending on whether I’m tanned or not, some are lighter than others.
My favourite Budget Foundations..
L’oreal True Match

This is definitely one of my favourite foundations and for the price (under €10) it’s hard to beat.
It’s an excellent dupe for the Armani Luminous Silk.
It’s texture is silky and extremely easy to blend. It’s has medium buildable coverage I would say.
I wouldn’t recommend this for dry skin though.
My shade is Golden Beige.
Rimmel Match Perfection

This is the newest foundation to the Rimmel family. I’ve tried it a few times and was really happy with the results and lasting power.
This felt weightless on my skin. It blends with your own skin’s real tone instead of masking it. I felt it was good for blurring out pores too. It contains Spf 20.
I think the Rimmel foundations in general are excellent. Another good one is Wake Me Up.
My shade is Soft Beige
Higher End Foundations:
Armani Luminous Silk.

I always go back to this even after buying others. I just love it. It’s expensive but it feels it. It has good coverage without leaving you feel caked. It’s feels silky on the skin and gives a lovely glow. It’s the one foundation I’d always reach for if I’m going to an event or getting my picture taken. It contains no Spf which is ideal if you don’t want any flash back in your photographs. It’s staying power makes it ideal for brides too!
My shade is 6.5 (for when I’m tanned)
Stila Stay all Day
(Buy here)

Another excellent foundation for lasting all day. It’s an oil free , high definition foundation, again perfect for being photographed.
This is yellow based which is most flattering on my skin tone.
It gives medium, buildable coverage with a matte finish.
This particular one is handy as it contains a concealer in the lid so you’re getting 2 products in one here. The concealer gives full coverage and blends easily. I would use this on any blemishes if needed after my foundation.
My shade is Buff
Concealers:
Amazing Concealer by Amazing Cosmetics

This is the Rolls Royce of concealers.
I would only use this if I really need to disguise a spot, scar, redness or bad dark circles. It’s very lightweight considering just how well it conceals. It’s pricey but a little goes a long way with this. It’s a must have for emergencies or for anyone with problematic skin.
My shade is fair golden

Urban Decay Naked Skin

I adore this and use it anytime I’m wearing make up.
I never bring my foundation right up under my eyes. The skin there is thin and I find foundation too heavy for the eye area.
So I use this under the eyes to highlight while blending it into my foundation. It’s a little lighter than my foundation but be careful not to go too light or you’ll look too white with too much of a contrast.
You’ll adore this if you haven’t tried it before.
My shade is light neutral.
Other foundations that I really like too but didn’t photograph are
*Benefit Oxegen Hello Flawless foundation (Buy here)
*Chanel Vitalumiere (Buy here)
*Buff foundation (Buy here)
I hope you’ve found my post useful.. Let me know what your favourites are.
Much love
