Mother’s Day Gifts! My Top Picks

main image
With Mother’s Day only a few weeks away I decided to put together a list of gift ideas.
I thought of things I would like and asked for a few opinions too, not surprising most of the answers back I got when I asked Mums what they’d like were “peace and quite / sleep”
So fingers crossed you get the extra 40 winks annnnnnd a gift, being a Mother is the hardest job of all after all !!:-)
So if you’re stuck with no ideas I hope this will give you a little inspiration.
In fairness they deserve it, don’t ya think!;-)
Much Love
Px
1. Jo Malone Cologne & Candle.
I adore Jo Malone. It’s so luxurious.
A Jo Malone candle will literally fill up your entire house with it’s fragrance.
The scent will last for hours and the candle lasts for ages too.
It’s not the sort of thing you’d buy yourself so it makes the perfect gift.
I don’t know anyone that wouldn’t love one.
My favourite one is Lavender & Lovage.

I’ve chosen Lime Basil & Mandarin Cologne as my favourite , it’s a beautiful fresh scent , perfect for coming into summer days. I like the little 30ml bottles that you can carry in your handbag.
This is a lovely little gift 😉

2. Alex & Ani bracelet
As you know I love Alex & Ani.
They just keep growing in popularity.
The more the merrier with these is my motto, I love to stack em up! 😉
This special ‘Mother’ one is a gorgeous & very apt one for Mother’s Day to start off her collection, or add to her existing one.

3. Initial & Gemstone Necklace.
Dainty gold jewellery is hugely popular and massively on trend at the moment.
I love it and wear it nearly everyday.
I saw this in Loulerie on Chatham street and thought it was so beautiful and a very thoughtful gift to give. I think it’s very fitting to give to your Mum for Mother’s Day.
You can choose an initial and stamp and add two gemstones.

Cost €145. Call the store on (353) 1 6724024 to place your order.
4. Lancôme lip lover
I love these so much, the sleek silver packaging alone has me sold. Usually I use both lipstick and gloss if I want a high glossy finish but this little stick does both. It’s got a strong pigmentation , the colour really lasts, and it has a glossy finish. Plus it’s not sticky so you won’t be left picking your hair off your lips all day.

€22 exclusive to Arnotts (from yesterday actually!) and nationwide from April.
5. Kielhs Midnight Recovery Concentrate
I love all the Kielhs products (for babies too).
This night recovery oil may be my favourite though. Just pop a few drops on before bedtime and wake up to baby soft skin. It really does work! It smells delightful too, helping you to unwind and nod off blissfully.

€42.50 available from Arnotts
6. Rosie for Autograph pure silk kimono wrap.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s night wear range is very impressive. It’s feminine and sexy.
Obviously she looks insanely beautiful modelling the range but they are that nice in real life too.
I spotted this very luxurious pure silk kimono and fell in love with it. This soft wrap is so beautiful , it’ll be sure to make a special woman feel great. Plus it beats being in your fleecy lounge wear!;-)

€110 at Marks & Spencer
7. Clarins Opalescence Face & Blush Powder
I love this compact , or at least I did love it until my mother robbed it on me. She says I’ve too much make up, I tell her it’s my business to be in the know!! 😉
Designed to boost the complexion and add a touch of colour, this Face & Blush powder combines a skin-awakening trio of shades, housed in the ultimate opal-inspired, holographic compact that slots perfectly in to your handbag for touch-ups throughout the day.
The powder aims to freshen the skin, adding just the right amount of radiance, and finishes off with a rosy flush to the cheeks – perfect for Mums of all ages! 😉
