Fashion For Finn Thank Yous!! & Fashion Factory update!

main image

Last Sunday we had Fashion for Finn in Powerscourt Hotel.

With nearly 400 women attending it was our busiest and biggest event to date!

Ladies arrived from 9am and enjoyed some tea&coffee while availing of our very own Nail Bar by Michelle Burke Nails and her team.

Michelle has being doing my nails for 2 years now, apart from being very talented she’s an extremely kind person. She and her team kindly donated all of the takings from the day to Finn’s charity.

At 11am I took to the stage to welcome everybody. I was definitely a little more nervous this time, it wasn’t my regular Fashion Factory – we had a lot more people in the room and I had friends and family there too. Plus I knew I’d be speaking about Finn and explaining his condition a little bit so that made me nervous and emotional.

The ice was definitely broken after a few minutes though with the audience being so welcoming and smiley. That’s what I love most about doing my events. The women who come are all so happy to be there, they’re looking forward to a great day and I can feel that energy the moment I walk out which instantly reassures me.

Our friend Keith Duffy kindly took to the stage shortly afterwards to say hello and to explain his involvement in the charity. Much to lots of ladies’ delight!!

As I said on the day, we’re in a very fortunate position that we can fundraise and call on friends to help. I know how difficult and relentless it can be to raise money. We really appreciate all the support and help. I fully intend on helping families in similar situations in the future too.

We had a lot going on throughout the day and a lot of people gave up their Sunday to support us so I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU!

Special thanks to Keywest who kept everyone entertained throughout the break. We really loved having you.

Thanks to my pal Derek O’Connor who blew the sax throughout the fashion show, what a talent!

Thank you to Tara O’ Farrell and Sue Brophy for their amazing make up and hair tutorials. The girls regularly contribute to my Fashion Factory and it’s an absolute pleasure having you as part of my team.
