Happy Sunday girls!

You may have seen a picture I posted last week of me wearing a grey checked flared dress from Warehouse (see here) during a shoot for my U Magazine column and I loved it. I’m such a huge fan of the flared hem style of the dress – so feminine yet edgy!

So after a bit of research (for work purposes only of course 😉 ), we found so many different types online.

Drop-waist dresses

Drop-waist dresses first came onto the scene during the Roaring 20s – think Great Gatsby flapper style. The waistline of the dress sits on the hips, but despite what you might think, it can be quite flattering as it creates the illusion of height by elongating the torso.

Add a pair of heels for the ultimate glam look or maybe add a pair of slip ons and a leather jacket for day-time chic!
