Choker Necklaces are a trend again

main image

Our fave supermodel duo Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell wore them in the 90s, and now 20 years or so later, choker necklaces have made a return to the fashion scene. That’s right ladies – chokers are a thing again.

There really is no escaping fashion’s obsession with the 90s era at the moment. Today’s ‘It Girls’ Kendall, Gigi and Rosie, as well as Instagram, have all played a major part in heralding the return of the choker trend.

A choker, whether bold or dainty, can instantly add some attitude and edge to the simplest of looks. The thick black velvet chokers seem to be one of the most popular styles right now. Wear this with a loose check shirt or tee and jeans for the ultimate model-off duty kind of vibe, or rock it with an off-the-shoulder top or dress.

But don’t worry; if the fabric chokers aren’t really your bag, you can opt for much simpler and daintier versions. We personally love the chic and understated style of these – wear on its own or layer them for slightly more impact. How elegant?
