#1. Say buh-bye to tired puffy eyes

Suffering with dark circles and puffiness? Seep two green tea bags in a cup of hot water for approx. 5 minutes, and then leave in the fridge for 20 minutes. Once the excess water is squeezed out, place the tea bags on your eyes for 15 to 30 minutes. Apparently the caffeine in green tea can help shrink the blood vessels around your eyes, reducing puffiness.

#2. Smell fabulous all day long

Yep, as the picture of the fab Marilyn suggests, these are actually all the places where perfume should be spritzed to make it last all day. Behind the knees… Who would’ve thought?!

#3. Smashed your fave powder compact? No biggie!

If you’ve found your favourite powder foundation or shadow to be completely crumbled and in pieces, simply add a few tablespoons of surgical spirit (you can get it in Boots and most pharmacies) and stir. Leave overnight to let the alcohol dry out and et voilà – good as new.

Note: Please avoid if you have extra sensitive, easily agitated skin

#4. Quick fix! Clumpy mascara

Coating your lashes with clumpy mascara probably isn’t the best of ideas, or looks for that matter. If you find your mascara starting to get clumpy, place it in hot water for 5 minutes and it should be a better clump-free version of itself.

#5. Tame those fly-aways

This is quite an old-school hack but we still love it. Spray the bristles of a toothbrush with some hairspray to smooth your hair for a super sleek look. It’s so handy!
