Cult Beauty Classic: Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel – Bronze Universal – €38.50 ?

The king of all bronzers, this cult classic cream bronzer has become a staple for me. It’s so popular that it goes out of stock on a regular basis. It’s the perfect shade for contouring or ‘sunkissing’ the face and it’s the dreamiest  consistency for applying, even with your fingertips. You just pat the bronzer and blend into the skin – and even better results if you blend it in with the Chanel kabuki brush or the Blank Canvas brush I featured at Pippa’s Fashion Factory in Galway! It’s really buildable, so you can keep on buffing it in and applying a little more if you want a really sculpted (or tanned!) look.

Because the effect is so subtle, this is great for fair skin. It looks scarily ‘tan’ at first, but it blends away very nicely and is pretty much foolproof. Once on the skin it is absolutely matte – there’s no dewy finish. In fact, there’s no ‘finish’ at all, it just disappears into the skin.

Dupe: W7 Glow Bronzing Base – €3.50

I’ve tried every single cream bronzer over the years and never found a replacement… until now. Ladies, let me introduce you to your new best friend this summer. At an incredible €3.50 you could buy 11 of these versus the Chanel equivalent. This gel based bronzer delivers on all aspects, from colour to consistency. The resemblance is uncanny and I’m converted. It’s available in most pharmacies.

Cult Beauty Classic: Charlotte Tilbury ‘Supermodel Body’ – €59

This “Slimmer Shimmer” has fast become a glowing cult classic with everyone from Kim K to the Goddess of Glow herself, JLO. ?The idea is that you highlight down the centre of legs and arms to create the illusion of leaner, longer limbs. It’s easy body makeup-in-a-minute, for summer confidence in a bottle!

Dupe: Pretty Polly ‘Love Legs’ Bronzed Gloss – €12

This budget friendly dupe is a shimmering steal at €12. It smells so summery and glides on effortlessly, and it even has a subtle hint of bronzer in it, like that of the Charlotte Tilbury cream. If you favour a lotion, there is a moisturising leg shimmer in the range, which isn’t as glossy as the roll on but still lives up to the Tilbury classic.

Cult Beauty Classic: Tom Ford Traceless Foundation SPF 15 – €72?

Mr. Tom Ford has many cult classics and this longwearing, humidity-resistant foundation is one of them. It hydrates and evens skin tone, creating a flawless, supple and poreless canvas. It’s beautifully buildable and does not budge. It smoothens out and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, at a hefty €72, it is even for a makeup junkie like myself, a bank-breaking purchase.

Dupe: Maybelline Fit Me SPF 18 – €11.99

I adore the Tom Ford foundation so it was my mission to find its dupe and at long last, I’ve found one. The Tom Ford evens out skin tone but the ?Fit Me foundation goes beyond skin tone matching to fit the unique texture issues of normal to dry skin for the most perfect skin ‘fit’. Say “Bye Bye” to pigmentation or imperfections. Its concentrate formula hydrates dry skin just like that of the Tom Ford and gives the most perfect dewy finish.

Cult Beauty Classic: Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow – €65

This dreamy palette is on the top of everyone’s makeup must have list and is without a doubt a “cult contour” palette. With Filmstar Bronze & Glow you can slim, sculpt, shorten, trim and highlight your features. It’s amazing what clever shading and highlighting tricks can do to your facial framework. ?The bronzer is the perfect universal blend of pearl and pigment to contour features and mimic a sun-kissed complexion. The highlighter is built up from a golden base that flatters any skin tone, and uses light-reflecting technology to capture light.

Dupe: W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow – €3.75

The dupe I’ve found for you ladies honestly blew me away. It’s as good as the original – the only slight different is that the highlight powder isn’t quite as shimmery but at €3.75 we won’t argue! What a “super sculpting” steal.

Cult Beauty Classic: MAC ‘Brave’ lipstick (€19.50) & MAC ‘Whirl’ lipliner (€16.50)

My final dupe(s) need no introduction and we have Kylie Jenner to thank for that -?MAC Brave lippie partnered with Whirl lipliner. Sold out worldwide and as good as gold.

Dupe: NYX ‘Whipped Caviar’ lipstick (€7.49) & NYX ‘Mauve’ lipliner (€4.99)

My new favourite pharmacy brand NYX lipstick in ‘Whipped Caviar’ gives MAC’s ‘Brave’ a run for its money and the NYX lip pencil is defo worth a ‘Whirl’… you’ll be impressed. The staying power on these budget friendly dupes is seriously impressive. ?NYX is available in pharmacies nationwide
